Kissinger was a German-born Jewish <strong>refugee <\/strong>who served under two presidents : Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 1970s, Kissinger <strong>influenced <\/strong>US politics and <strong>world affairs<\/strong>. He travelled to Israel and Arab countries <strong>repeatedly <\/strong>in an <strong>attempt <\/strong>to bring peace to the Middle East. Kissinger also <strong>led secret <\/strong>talks with Communist China to bring it out of <strong>isolation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1973 Henry Kissinger <strong>negotiated <\/strong>the Paris peace talks to get the United States out of the Vietnam War.
