The crime happened in <strong>broad daylight<\/strong> and took only seven minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four masked robbers used a lift to <strong>reach <\/strong>a second-floor window of the museum. They wore construction <strong>vests <\/strong>to <strong>blend in<\/strong> and used tools to break in. Once inside, they smashed glass cases and grabbed eight pieces of historic jewellery. Then they <strong>escaped <\/strong>on motorbikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stolen items included a <strong>sapphire tiara<\/strong>, emerald necklaces, diamond <strong>brooches<\/strong>, and other pieces once owned by French royals like Empress Eug\u00e9nie and Queen Marie-Am\u00e9lie. One crown was dropped during the escape and later found damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police are <strong>investigating<\/strong>, but experts say the jewels are too famous to sell easily. There\u2019s <strong>concern <\/strong>the thieves might break them apart to hide their <strong>origin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Emmanuel Macron called the <strong>theft <\/strong>an attack on France\u2019s history and promised to catch those <strong>responsible<\/strong>.
