On October 18, 2025, millions of people in all parts of the United States took part in the \u201cNo Kings\u201d protests to speak out against President Donald Trump and what they see as a threat <\/strong>to America’s democratic system. Almost 7 million people joined in the protests, staged <\/strong>in over 2,700 cities and towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name \u201cNo Kings\u201d comes from the idea that America should not be ruled <\/strong>by one powerful leader. Protesters say Trump is acting more like a king than a president. He uses government agents <\/strong>to silence <\/strong>his critics, ignores <\/strong>the Constitution <\/strong>and attacks immigrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huge <\/strong>crowds gathered <\/strong>in big cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Famous politicians <\/strong>like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren gave speeches. People in other countries around the globe <\/strong>also showed their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizers of the peaceful <\/strong>protests stated<\/strong> that their aim <\/strong>is to protect America and its values<\/strong>. Everyone should be heard \u2014 not just one man in power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although <\/strong>Republicans dismissed<\/strong> the protests as Democratic propaganda<\/strong>, many Americans saw them as a powerful message<\/strong>: that the country belongs to the people, not to one leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
